I want to work for you

My name is Elisha Miller and I am an experienced arts administrator. I have admired the NSO’s artistry from the age of 8 when I first became engaged with orchestral music as the principal violist of the Ocala Youth Symphony. I looked to the National Symphony Orchestra as the pinnacle of this country’s orchestral scene and dreamed of one day working there. Like many musicians, I grew up and found that my skills and interests developed beyond the single role of performer and I found great joy in the pursuit of playing supporting roles within great music organizations. When the NSO opened up the position of Artistic and Executive Coordinator, I jumped at the opportunity to apply to work with the orchestra I have admired for over a decade.

Why I'm a good fit

The position of Artistic and Executive Coordinator should be fulfilled by someone with passion, vigor, and meticulous precision. I created this WordPress interactive resume supplement for you to showcase my advanced tech skills and my attention to detail. Additionally, I have a proven ability to organize materials related to scheduling and communication in a timely manner that will enhance an executive’s efficiency and effectiveness throughout the season. As a creative individual with strengths in organization and communication, and a specific esteem for the National Symphony Orchestra, I believe I would be a wonderful fit for this position.

THE SKILLS THAT SET ME APART 01
Proactive and self-motivated

For me, there is no challenge too big and nothing that is “un-figure-out-able.” I am filled with the intrinsic motivation to help the NSO succeed in its endeavors as we slowly move out of the Covid-19 pandemic. I have a sharp ability to anticipate the needs of executives and I will work tirelessly to make sure all needs are met and every detail is polished.

Interpersonal Skills

My experience being the first point of contact for thousands of students and parents at the International School of Music has enabled me to communicate with people of many different languages, backgrounds, and cultural affiliations in a professional, warm, and efficient manner.

The extra ten percent

I will go above and beyond in my preparation to assist with concerts, artist relations, and travel itineraries to ensure that Maestro Noseda, the artists of the NSO, and the my prospective NSO colleagues feel completely supported in their work. I live by the motto that the extra ten percent effort makes all the difference in the world.

As an Executive Assistant

As Executive Assistant and liaison to Maestro Noseda, I would make it my personal mission to actively listen and engage with his specific work-style, work ethic, and professional pacing to align my administrative activities in a way that makes his job as seamless as possible from an administrative support perspective.  Attendant and dependable, I am willing and eager to make extra arrangements as needed, no matter what time of day or season. Whether it’s creating itineraries and scheduling around his visits to the London Symphony or Israel Symphony, or representing him to others via email or phone calls, I would do all in my power to make sure his professional life is comfortable and predictable.

As an Artist Coordinator

As an artist coordinator, I ensure a smooth experience for each guest. From travel arrangements, to food preferences, to answering questions knowledgeably and accurately, I would consider myself their assistant during their visit so that their impression of the NSO is nothing short of spectacular.
